Triplicate Prescription Program (TPP)

Overview

In partnership with pharmacists and dentists, the Council of the College of Physicians & Surgeons of Alberta (CPSA) established the Triplicate Prescription Program (TPP) to monitor the use of certain drugs prone to misuse and abuse for non-medical purposes.

Important Information

TPP Atlas is Now Available

The Atlas provides Alberta physicians with an update on 2012 TPP medication use.

OxyContin and OxyNEO

The Alberta Expert Committee on Drug Evaluation and Therapeutics has concluded OxyNEO drug products are interchangeable with OxyContin and both require a valid Triplicate Prescription in Alberta.
