• Why can't I log into the tracking system?

  To log into the Postgraduate Tracking System you must enter your tracking number. The tracking number must include CPSA.P before the number (e.g. CPSA.P00123). If you do not include the CPSA.P the system will not log you in. 

• Has the College received all my documents?

  Log in to the Postgraduate Tracking System to check which documents the College has received. Note that it takes approximately 2 business days for the document or information to appear on the tracking page after we receive it.

• Where do I get a Certificate of Professional Conduct / Certificate of Standing?

  You must obtain your Certificate of Professional Conduct / Certificate of Standing from the current jurisdiction in which you are registered and practising medicine. This document does not come from a university.

• What is the Physician Credentials Registry of Canada (PCRC) and do I need it for registration?

  The PCRC verifies your medical credentials. You need PCRC verification if you obtained your medical degree outside of Canada and if your fellowship or residency exceeds six months. If this applies to you, you should start the credential verification process immediately. For information regarding physician credential verification please visit http://www.pcrc.org/.

• What happens when my registration is complete?

  Once the College receives all your documents and determines you are eligible for registration, you will get a confirmation email with your CPSA registration number. Your practice permit will also be sent via email.

• I am returning for another elective in Alberta. Do I have to complete the entire registration process again?

  If you were previously registered in Alberta for an elective, you do not have to reapply or pay the registration fee. What you need to do is:

  1. Contact the University to ensure they update the College with your new elective dates.
  2. Provide the College with a Certificate of Professional Conduct and two new references (if required). References are only valid for one year.
