Important: New Registration Requirement

Effective October 1, 2011: Evidence of English Language Proficiency

Currency of Practice or Training

Physicians who have been out of formal postgraduate training or independent practice for three or more years must provide evidence of currency in practice or training before being considered for eligibility to apply for a practice permit.

Credential verification

Eligible international graduate applicants must provide credential verification through the Physician Credential Registry of Canada (PCRC). Applicants should start the credential verification process immediately after receiving written confirmation of their eligibility for a practice permit.
