Overview



The College registers and issues medical practice permits (licences) to qualified physicians who want to practise in Alberta. Under the Health Professions Act, our mandate is to make sure physicians have the training, knowledge and skills to provide safe and competent care to Albertans.

Did you know?

College activities outlined in the Health Professions Act (HPA) are subject to the Ombudsman Act. This allows any person not satisfied with these activities to make a formal complaint to the Alberta Ombudsman.
