Physician Approvals
Approval is required to perform and report lung function tests.
Exception: A physician may perform and/or report vitalometry without flow-volume loops for a patient in his or her own practice without approval. A physician may not offer vitalometry as a consulting service to other physicians, or claim a fee for reporting flow-volume loops, without approval.
