Physician Approvals
Approval is required to perform Surgical procedures designated to be unsuitable for a general medical office.
Note: Intravenous sedation of any type (including a narcotic or a benzodiazepine), major regional blocks and general anesthesia are designated to be unsuitable for a general medical office. Applications for approval for designated surgical procedures and anesthesia services must be made through the Medical Director of the accredited non-hospital surgical facility. Do not send applications for privileges in accredited facilities to the College directly.
