The College is responsible for investigating and resolving physician-related complaints. Although we favor an education or training approach, we apply discipline if necessary.

Step 1 - Understand how our Complaints Process works (review a one-page flow chart that shows how we manage complaints)
Step 2 - Think about contacting a Patient Advocate to help you with your specific complaint
Step 3 - If necessary, File a Formal Complaint

College activities outlined in the Health Professions Act (HPA) are subject to the Ombudsman Act. This allows any person not satisfied with these activities to make a formal complaint to the Alberta Ombudsman.
