Status: Permanent Full-time
Position Summary:
Responsible for the planning, analysis, implementation and ongoing maintenance of information system infrastructure, including servers and networking equipment throughout the College, with the direct guidance of the Business Technology Manager. This position also provides backup and second-tier support for the IT Helpdesk Support position.
Qualifications:
- Managing windows-based servers around performance, upgrading, monitoring and fixing any issues.
- Connecting and troubleshooting Cisco switches and wiring.
- Working in VMware-based environments.
Education & Experience:
- Advanced technical knowledge of a specific function or discipline (specialist), or general business knowledge of multiple functions or business processes (generalist) typically obtained through a 2-3 year post-secondary diploma, or equivalent.
- Experience Requirement for 3 to 5 years of related experience.
