Status: Long-term Contract
Position Summary:
Responsible for the activities related to the Infection Prevention and Control program within the Clinical Accreditation program under the auspices of the College of Physicians & Surgeons of Alberta.
Qualifications:
Education
General analytical, planning and professional skills typically obtained through a Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent
Experience
Minimum of 5-8 years of combined clinical related administrative experience, including experience in conducting IPC assessments
Skills
Registered Nurse with certification in IPC or equivalent professional such as an individual with SAIT Certification in Infection Control/Reprocessing. If a regulated professional, must be licensed with or eligible for licensure with their professional body in Alberta.
Certification in Infection Control and experience in conducting IPC assessments
Advanced knowledge of IPC, including broad scope knowledge of provincial standards for reprocessing of medical devices
Advanced Interpersonal/Communication/Writing Skills
Ability to organize and achieve multiple priorities within deadlines
Thrive in a collaborative environment and promote teamwork to achieve goals
